🟠 $CORN

What is the $CORN Token?

The $CORN token is a fundamental component of the Corn Network, designed to drive long-term sustainability and alignment within the ecosystem. It is the centerpiece of the popCORN System, an innovative, ecosystem-wide incentives mechanism that fosters deep collaboration between protocols building on Corn and their users.

Bitcorn

Through the popCORN System, $CORN stakers gain voting power -- to decide where the network’s $CORN emissions and $BTCN fees get directed. This means $CORN holders decide which Corn Network applications they deem most valuable to the network and most aligned with the collective vision of BTCFi –- and in-turn reward those applications with $CORN and $BTCN. Create value on the network and get rewarded by $CORN holders.

$CORN Token Contract

The $CORN token is deployed on both the Corn Network and Ethereum Mainnet at the following address:

warning

Beware of fake $CORN tokens. Make sure to only interact with the official $CORN token address at all times.

LayerZero OFT

$CORN is a native LayerZero OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token). This is a token standard developed by LayerZero that enables seamless cross-chain transfers between the Corn Network and Ethereum Mainnet (and 88+ other LayerZero-supported chains). When bridging $CORN through Corn’s canonical bridge powered by LayerZero, tokens are burned on the source chain and minted on the destination chain, maintaining a consistent total supply across all chains.

Tokenomics

The total supply of $CORN is 2.1 billion tokens, carefully allocated to ensure sustainable growth and meaningful incentives for all network participants.

Community Allocation

The majority of $CORN is allocated to the community, ensuring active participants are rewarded for their contributions. These allocations include:

  • Initial Token Distribution – Rewarding early adopters and network participants through:

    • Kernels Season 1 (pre-network) – Distributed via a points-based system.
    • Kernels Season 2 (mainnet) – Further distribution through network activity.
    • Yap to Eat w/ Kaito.ai – A social engagement airdrop.
    • Harvester Vaults – Yield aggregation rewards.
    • Cornfields Season 1 – Incentivizing active participation in live DeFi protocols.
    • Corn Locking – Encouraging long-term alignment through staking.
  • User Emissions and Network Security
The popCORN System enables $CORN stakers to direct emissions toward whitelisted applications each epoch. Additionally, a portion of this allocation is reserved for Babylon Bitcoin stakers, who help secure the Corn Network through the Bitcoin Secured Network (BSN).

  • Ecosystem and Network Builders
Dedicated funding for the network's "Corn Stars," which are top-tier protocols and builders contributing to the Corn ecosystem.

  • Community Fundraise
3.7% of the supply was allocated to 1000+ community members who participated in Corn’s fundraising rounds on Legion.cc and Echo.xyz.

$CORN Vesting/Unlock Schedule

  • Community allocations -- $CORN earned from Kernels S1 and S2 will be fully claimable at TGE. $CORN earned from Yap to Eat will be claimable only once the user has linked an EVM wallet to the qualified X handle. Users have no more than 14 days to link thier X account to an EVM account, at which point their $CORN earned through Yap to Eat will be fully claimable and liquid.
  • All other allocations -- All $CORN token holders outside of the community allocation have the same vesting schedule consisting of a 1-year lock and 12 month linear unlock. These token holders are not permitted to participate in staking with their token share while locked.
  • No locked tokens can participate in staking.
  • Future Inflation: The protocol may introduce inflation up to 3% per year to further support ecosystem growth and network security.

Initial Circulating Supply

At launch, the initial circulating supply will be 525M $CORN (25% of total supply), entirely focused on community and ecosystem support.

This includes:

  • Initial Token Distribution
  • Ecosystem & network builders
  • Network security incentives
  • Foundation allocations

Claim the Community Airdrop

Eligible participants can now claim their allocated $CORN through the Corn App. This includes all users who earned rewards in Kernels Season 1, Kernels Season 2, and Yap to Eat. $CORN recipients can opt to claim and lock their airdrop -- to receive a 2x multiplier on their $CORN rewards!

To claim your $CORN, follow the Airdrop Claim Guide's step-by-step instructions.

warning

To trade $CORN on a centralized exchange, you’ll first need to bridge it to Ethereum mainnetβ€”except for Bybit, which supports $CORN natively on Corn. You can use the Native Bridge for this.
