π Corn Network Deployment Phases
Building the Corn Network requires careful planning and execution. We're committed to a phased launch approach that prioritizes security, stability, and user experience.
Phase 0 β The Kernelβ
Corn introduces Kernels, off-chain points that users can earn by depositing assets and engaging with the ecosystem. Kernels represent your share of the upcoming $CORN community allocation but are not tokens themselves. This stage sets the foundation for early community engagement.
The Kernel Season 1 is live! Check The Kernel Season 1 page for more information.
Phase 1 β Maizenet: Seedingβ
The first phase of Corn's mainnet launch brings several key components online:
- Network Launch: The Corn Network goes live with its canonical LayerZero bridge
- Bitcoin Clearing House: Users can exchange cbBTC or wBTC for BTCN at a fixed 1:1 ratio
- Kernel Season 2: Applications can distribute Kernels directly to users on Corn. Learn more about Kernel Season 2 here
- Application Deployment: World-class DeFi applications begin launching on the network
- Infrastructure Integration: Key partnerships and infrastructure providers come online
During the first 30 days following the official launch announcement, Kernel incentives will continue on both Ethereum and Corn. After this period, they will continue exclusively on Corn.
Phase 2 β Maizenet: Harvestβ
Scheduled for Q1 2025, this phase consists of three key parts:
Part 1: CORN Token Generation Eventβ
- Launch of the $CORN token
- Community allocation based on accumulated Kernels
- Integration with the network's governance system
Part 2: CORN Staking (popCORN)β
- Introduction of $popCORN (staked CORN)
- Enabling yield allocation mechanisms
- Governance over network fees and token emissions
Part 3: Farmer's Market Launchβ
- Opening of the network's bribe market
- Competitive reward mechanisms for $popCORN holders
- Direct value exchange between applications and token holders
This staged approach ensures a secure and efficient deployment while maintaining the network's commitment to decentralization and community governance. Learn more about the Road to Maizenet here.
