ποΈ Architecture Overview
Key Network Componentsβ
At a high level, the Corn Network's architecture is made up of the following components that make it unique and the best place for Bitcoin to flourish. The combination of these components enables what we like to call The Corn Maze:
Bitcorn (BTCN) as Gasβ
BTCN is a hybrid, Bitcoin-backed asset that powers the Corn network. Minted through trusted custodians like wBTC and cbBTC, BTCN transforms Bitcoin into a utility token, driving transactions and smart contracts.

The popCORN Systemβ
Inspired by veTokenomics, the popCORN System aligns incentives across users, developers, and protocols. By allowing $CORN stakers to vote on yield distribution, Corn creates a dynamic, self-sustaining ecosystem.

Bitcoin Secured Networkβ
Corn is also secured by Babylon Bitcoin Staking, integrating Bitcoin's security into the network. This dual-layer protection (Bitcoin and Ethereum staking) makes Corn one of the safest rollups in the ecosystem.

Built on Arbitrum Orbitβ
Corn leverages the Arbitrum Orbit stack, which combines Ethereum's security with superior scalability and low transaction costs. By utilizing Stylus, Corn allows developers to write smart contracts in multiple languages (beyond Solidity), unlocking greater computing efficiency and innovation.

LayerZero and ThorCornβ
Through LayerZero and ThorCorn (enabled by Thorchain), Corn provides seamless cross-chain interoperability and the most secure and efficient way to bring Bitcoin (and any other asset) into the ecosystem.

BlueCorn and the Bitcoin Clearing Houseβ
Corn partners with Coinbase to offer BlueCorn, allowing users to mint BTCN directly from BTC in their Coinbase accounts. Additionally, the Bitcoin Clearing House simplifies the minting and management of BTCN, making Bitcoin accessible and usable within Corn.
