Corn is a novel blockchain network built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, designed to harness Bitcoin's value with Ethereum's computational power. With its hybrid tokenized Bitcoin (BTCN) as its gas token, Corn offers a unique, secure, and sustainable way to maximize Bitcoin's potential. Secured by both Bitcoin (via Babylon) and Ethereum staking, Corn ensures long-term alignment through its innovative popCORN incentives model.

Seamless interoperability with other networks is enabled through LayerZero, Thorchain, and Coinbase—making it easy to bring your Bitcoin to Corn and have fun with just one click. Unlimited utility and the power of BTCN​

Corn’s innovative implementation of a 1:1 pegged, hybrid tokenized Bitcoin, also known as Bitcorn ($BTCN), allows millions of BTC hodlers (individuals and institutions) to finally put their holdings’ value to work. By using BTCN as the gas token, Corn seamlessly bridges Bitcoin and Ethereum, unlocking BTC’s utility within the world’s most dynamic financial environment: Ethereum, its L2s, and the EVM more broadly.

BTCN is backed 1:1 by BTC through cbBTC and wBTC, enabled by the Bitcoin custody provided by Coinbase and BitGo, two of the industry’s most trusted custodians. It introduces a flexible minting design that anticipates the evolution of decentralized Bitcoin storage solutions and bridges — and positions BTCN to grow and adapt alongside it.

Why Corn? Why Now?​

The crypto space has long been plagued by unsustainable, short-term incentives. Networks often rely on temporary grant programs that attract liquidity for a brief period, only to see it vanish when the rewards dry up. The core issue is a lack of alignment between users, applications, and token holders.

Corn solves this. It introduces a sustainable ecosystem that aligns the interests of all participants—users, builders, and liquidity providers—through the popCORN System. Inspired by veTokenomics (pioneered by Curve Finance), each block allocates yield and directs it to protocols chosen by $CORN stakers. This gives $CORN stakers real influence, allowing them to reward projects that add value to the network, fostering long-term growth and engagement.

To further enhance the popCORN System's impact and efficiency, Corn introduces a permissionless bribe market known as the Hidden Husk, where protocols can reward $CORN stakers in exchange for their vote to direct yield. This system puts power back into the hands of builders and users, ensuring that high-quality projects are not just drawn to Corn but are incentivized to stay. By aligning rewards with long-term value creation, Corn ensures that builders remain engaged and committed, creating a dynamic ecosystem where innovation thrives.
